Multiphase boosting is an alternative solution to conventional production technologies in oil and gas field operations. Besides pump and motor, self contained systems incorporate a number of different equipment items controlled by dedicated instruments. In order to evaluate these state – and operating conditions signals are gathered in a common control system allowing for a remote control and operation of the entire unit. By an advanced study of the relation between the signals received and parameters taken on the one side and a qualitative or even quantitative analysis of their respective influence on the multiphase process or boosting system on the other side, it is possible to accomplish a process assessment and system appraisal. Examples executed mark the way to a positive extension of control- and monitoring systems for such equipment.
