In this work, a new micro-creep model based on a power function form is proposed to describe the creep mechanical properties of salt rock. This model is embedded into particle flow code (PFC) by Fish scripting language. The power function weakening form is introduced to describe the decay process of the parallel bonded diameter (PBD) over time. By comparing with the parallel-bonded stress corrosion (PSC) model, a smoother creep strain-time curves are observed in this power function model at the same stress level. The validity of the proposed model is inspected by calibrating laboratory creep tests and by comparing the resulting curve of creep with the Burger model fitting.
