ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: The local mine stiffness concept has been investigated by a numerical analysis to provide guideline for longwall pillar design in bump-prone coal beds. The results show that local mine stiffness can be used in evaluation of longwall mine design and in control of pillar bumps.
