ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: Two SSC tunnels with a 46 foot vertical separation are connected by transfer tunnels which crisscross in a vertical plane in "bow-tie" fashion. Finite difference ground-structure interaction analyses are described, as well as the application of analysis results to design, and the close coordination with construction sequences and procedures.
