ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: This paper describes a numerical analysis of the micro mechanical behavior of granular materials using a program MICRO-MECHANICS MODEL based on Boundary Element Method(BEM), elastic interaction, tensile fracture of grains and grain bonds. Some numerical tests have been done to investigate the effects of stochastic micro-structures, packing arrangement and confining stresses on the ultimate strength, fracture and macroscopic deformation.
