ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: A large strain elastoplastic analysis is presented for a wellbore embedded in Mohr-Coulomb and Drucker-Prager media. Material behaviour is modelled by a non-associated deformation theory with strain hardening. The constitutive equations were fitted on true stress-strain data from triaxial tests on Castle gate sandstone. A comparison is presented between predictions obtained from the two models and experimental data from hollow cylinder tests.
