ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: In situ deformation measurements are considered as the main information to understand the deformation mechanism of rock. From the extensive data analysis of the in situ deformation measurements from the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) site and other salt and potash mines, suggestions for better under- standing of the deformation mechanism of time-dependent rock could be made.
