ABSTRACT: This paper employs the poroelastic approach to develop the much needed solutions for cylindrical samples subjected to axial loading and confining pressure. Current solutions involve poroelastic, poroviscoelastic, and porochemoelastic coupled processes that are derived based on the generalized plane strain consideration; thus, depicting the general state of stress under a triaxial loading condition. These solutions are being implemented, with their elastic counterparts, into a modular and user-friendly software named PCORE-3D. The program is geared to target the interpretation and calibration of experimental data with proper handling of the known governing coupled processes. Herein, the software and its underlying fundamental solutions are presented.
