ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: The scope of this research was to evaluate the geometry of the cutting tool in order to cut the coal/rock efficiently and produce less fine particles. This study consists of three parts namely: 1)Holographic Interferometry, 2)Three Dimensional Stress Analysis of the tested specimen, 3)Acoustic Emission and Fracture Surface Analysis. The major part of this paper will be devoted for part 1 of this study, however major findings in part 2 and 3 will be described briefly.
